Humanitas University - Montorsi is the Rector of Humanitas University, Director of the Unit Department of Surgery and member of the Italian Superior Health Council. With over 20-year experience in didactic and clinic teaching he moved to Humanitas Research Hospital in 2004 as the Chief of the Department of Surgery and was appointed Rector of Humanitas University in 2014. His main interests are in the field of digestive diseases and in the surgical treatment of the related pathologies, mainly HPB and colorectal, as one of the leading experts. He is author or co-author of 285 scientific publications, 228 on peer-review journals.
