Polytechnic of Milan - Caiani, PhD, FESC teaches “E-health: methods and applications” and “Biomedical Image Processing Laboratory” at Politecnico di Milano, where he is Associate Professor. His research interests include digital health, space physiology, public health. In 2002 he was one of the three finalists in the selection for Italian Astronaut. He served as e-Cardiology WG Chair (16-18) for the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and now is member of several committees (Advocacy and Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs on Medical Devices, and Digital Health), representing ESC at EU level.
