African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Nairobi (Kenya) - Research Manager at the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Before joining the AERC, Dr Ngui Muchai was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Econometrics and Statistics-Kenyatta university, a visiting econometric theory and practice lecturer at the AERC Collaborative Master Pro_x0002_gramme (CMAP), a member of the Advisory Committee of the Environment for Development (EfD) Initiative in Kenya, a fellow at the Africa Research & Impact Network (ARIN), and a Senior Researcher and a consultant with various inter_x0002_national organizations/institutions such as the AfDB, UNU-WIDER, COMESA Business Council (CBC) and the Papua New Guinea National Research Institute (PNG-NRI). She has also worked with KIPPRA as a policy analyst and has over 15 years of experience conducting high quality empirical research on issues related to industrial policies, enterprise performance and natural resources in developing countries. She is the author and co-author of numerous academic articles and other publications.
