WHO WE ARE

The Global Solutions Initiative is a global collaborative enterprise comprised of a network of world-renowned think tanks. It proposes policy responses to major global problems, addressed by the G20, the G7 and other global governance fora.

OUR VISION 

We want to achieve a “Recoupling” of systems, that make economies and polities serve societies across the globe and the generations.

OUR MISSION

  • Insights 
    Provide research-based and expert policy advice that tackles major global challenges which need global cooperation and are addressed by G20 and beyond 
  • Convening 
    Bring stakeholders from business, civil society, politics and research together to develop solution-oriented policy proposals for the global common good 
  • Outreach 
    Promoting awareness of systemic challenges and global problem-solving efforts 

The Global Solutions Initiative was founded during the 2017 German G20 Presidency by the Initiative’s President Dennis J. Snower. The Global Solutions Initiative is a stepping stone to the T20 and G20 Summits and supports the Think20 process for think tanks.

GLOBAL SOLUTIONS SUMMIT 2023

The Global Solutions Summit – the World Policy Forum – is an international conference aimed at addressing key policy challenges facing the G20 and G7 and other global governance fora.

Distinguished experts from think tanks, research organizations, governance, business, and civil society come together each year in the middle of every G20 Presidency to work on concrete policy solutions.

The next Global Solutions Summit will be held May 15-16, 2023 in Berlin, Germany. We also keep up to date on our activities on social media and in our newsletter.

The G20 Insights Platform offers policy proposals to the G20. It is an initiative of the Think 20 Engagement Group.

The Policy Briefs, produced by Task Forces from the Think20 (T20) Group and other sources, are clustered in Policy Areas, Presidencies and Task Forces and describe either recommendations or visions.
