Introducing "Solution Spaces"

Join the dialogue and help us solve global problems.

Welcome to the new series of the Global Solutions Initiative: Solution Spaces: For People and Planet. The purpose of this series is simple, yet ambitious: to provide an international, multistakeholder outlet for ideas to promote solutions to global problems, addressing the G20, G7 and related policymaking fora. We invite you to join us and contribute to our blog.

What it’s all about: This series is meant to capture the main features of global problems, analyze them and suggest partial or full-fledged solutions, thereby making innovative and actionable contributions toward a more sustainable, inclusive, prosperous and peaceful world.

Read the submission guidelines here to learn more.

The blogs will be distributed through our large global network, reaching policymakers and advisors, business leaders, academics, thought leaders, and civil society organizations throughout the G20 and beyond.

All articles are to address shared global problems, focusing on issues such as climate change and SDGs, biodiversity loss, equality, social and financial needs, the role of digital technologies and AI, Multilateralism and Global Governance, access to natural resources, trade disruptions and security.

We will publish two categories of texts: short-term interventions” that respond to a time-bound issue in the news, as well as long-term insights” that address an enduring problem requiring a solution over a longer time horizon.

This series aligns with the broader GSI vision: promoting a global economic system that benefits policy, people and planet. We encourage contributions from a wide range of countries and a wide range of stakeholders, addressed to a wide range of actors. After all, wisdom in global problem-solving requires the confluence of many distinct voices in the service of the common good.

In this spirit, we warmly welcome you to contribute to our new series.
