The Global Solutions Initiative is calling for applications for the “Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards”. Successful applicants are invited to Berlin to present their projects to a high-level jury at the Global Solutions Summit 2022.
Berlin, 29.11.2021 – To recognize and reward young changemakers from all over the world, the Global Solutions Initiative has newly created the “Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards”. The program aims to identify the ten most inspiring projects which contribute towards recoupling social, environmental, and economic prosperity. The creators of the most promising projects will be invited to present them to a high-level jury at the Global Solutions Summit 2022 on March 28-29, 2022, in Berlin. Three of those finalists will be awarded monetary prizes. Application for the Young Global Changers Recoupling Award is open via a dedicated website now.
To be successful, projects must be guided by a people-centric approach, one that puts the needs and voices of their stakeholders, customers, workers and communities at the center. Another important field of impact is the natural environment. This may include projects that promote avenues towards carbon neutrality or towards circular modes of production and consumption. The jury will also be looking for particularly novel, unique, and original approaches or projects that address specific issues which have previously been neglected.
The best entries overall will be presented on the Global Solutions website. Successful applicants will become part of the 2022 Young Global Changers cohort. They will join a global community of more than 350 young changemakers from around the world and will receive opportunities to connect to one another and to the network of the Global Solutions Initiative.
The overarching goal of the Young Global Changers program is to connect inspiring young people from around the world and to create an engaged global network of young individuals with innovative ideas to change the world for the better. The Young Global Changers are students, young academics, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and non-profit leaders from around the globe who are developing and implementing ideas to bring about positive change, whether at the global, regional, or local level.
The Global Solutions Initiative is a global think tank network that develops policy recommendations for action on the most pressing issues of our time, as addressed by the G20, G7 and other global governance forums. The policy recommendations and strategic visions are developed through a disciplined research program by leading think tanks and science organizations and discussed and refined in policy dialogues among decision-makers from academia, politics, business, and civil society.
