- Jawoo Koo is a Senior Research Fellow of the Environment and Production Technology Division at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), based in Washington, DC, USA.
- He has more than 20 years of experience in multidisciplinary geospatial data and integrated modeling analyses for assessing climate and technology impacts on agri-food systems.
- He coordinates CGIAR’s Geospatial Data Community of Practice and currently leads the new CGIAR Research Initiative, “Digital Innovation and Transformation (DI/DX),” also known as “Harnessing digital technologies for timely decision-making across food, land, and water systems.” The DI/DX Initiative research pathways to bridge this digital divide, improve the quality of information systems, and strengthen local capacities to realize the potential of digital technologies
