Dennis Görlich

Dennis heads the Program Team at the Global Solutions Initiative. He is also a Program Manager at the Hamburg-based Institute of Advanced Study THE NEW INSTITUTE, responsible for the work on the Economic Transformation. Prior to that, Dennis headed the Global Challenges Centre at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany) where, among other things, he managed the T20 process during Germany’s G20 presidency.
Dennis has studied and worked in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kiel (Germany) and a Master degree in Economics from Maastricht University (Netherlands). His work focused on the changing organization of work, digital trade and sustainability in global value chains, as well as the G20. He has done consulting projects for e.g. the German Ministry of Finance, the European Parliament or the OECD. He was co-chair of the T20 Task Forces on the Digital Economy in 2017.
