Miriam W. Oiro Omolo, Ph.D. Executive Director at the African Policy Research Institute (APRI). She has over 20 years of experience in public policy research and analysis. She holds a doctorate degree in economics (D.Litt. et Phil. Economics) from the University of South Africa. Her research areas are trade, development and poverty, and public finance management. She is also working on emerging areas of the extractive sector and the digital economy. She has experience in both macro and micro econometric modeling using large survey data sets. Miriam is a network member of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and African Growth Policy Modeling (AGRODEP) Network hosted by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience to equip future generations with skills for building the nation of Kenya.
Why did you join the Solutions Lab? “I joined the program because I have a passion for providing evidence-based solutions towards reduction of inequality and increase evidence on pathways to reducing inequality.”
