Vidisha Mishra
Director, Global Outreach & Policy
Vidisha heads programmatic and substantive community engagement at GSI, including partnerships with the G20 and G7 processes and associated multilateral groups. She brings a decade of experience working at the intersection of policy advice, programme management and strategic engagement across international think tanks in Europe, South and Southeast Asia.
Before joining GSI, Vidisha worked at UNU-IIGH – the UN’s think tank on global health, where she led global partnerships with UN agencies, civil society and member state governments. Her former roles include leading research on gender in economic diplomacy at ORF – one of Asia’s most influential foreign policy think tanks.
Vidisha has a demonstrated track record in the foreign policy arena through competitively awarded fellowships at the German Federal Foreign Office, German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), and the German Internet Institute. Her research and media publications focus on issues of global governance, gender equality, technology and society. She frequently contributes to multilateral processes including the Women20 (W20) and Think Tank 20 (T20) engagement groups of the G20 and through speaking roles at global fora.
Vidisha holds a master’s degree in international development from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a bachelor’s in International Politics from the University of Warwick (UK). She is currently pursuing a part-time Executive MPA at the Hertie School with a concentration on digitization and big data.
