The Young Global Changers Ambassadors

The Global Solutions Initiative’s Young Global Changers program nominates a selected group of Young Global Changers Alumni to represent the program as Young Global Changers Ambassadors. These Ambassadors represent the diversity of the Young Global Changers community. They participate in activities of the Global Solutions Initiative, serve as mentors for fellow Young Global Changers and help to form an active and growing network. Appointed for a two-year period, the Young Global Changers Ambassadors are invited to the Global Solutions Summit, the Initiative’s annual conference in Berlin.

Rosario del Pilar Diaz Garavito
Peru | Young Global Changer 2022
– YGC AMBASSADOR FOR LATIN AMERICA – 

Rosario is a SDGs activist, Founder & Executive Director of The Millennials Movement a youth led organization that mobilizes youth in 16 countries of the LATAM region. Rosario was recently appointed as UN Civil Society Conference 2024, Off Site Events Sub-Committee Co Coordinator and also serves as LATAM Consultation Lead for the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report. Rosario served as a former Member of the Youth Advisory Board for the Human Rights of Youth partnership of the Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights, Education Above All and Silatech, and was awarded as an Obama Foundation Scholar 2019-2020 and currently holds a Master’s Degree on International Development and Policy at the University of Chicago.

In 2013, she was appointed as Youth Advocate of the My World 2015 survey where she led the mobilization of 38 000 Peruvians for the definition of the 2030 Agenda. Rosario played a pivotal role for the establishment of the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) children and youth regional formal mechanism – MeSCLAC, as well as it’s integration in MGCY representing the LAC region, where she served as Elected Focal Point 2020 – 2022, serving as Co Lead for the LAC Regional Sessions of the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2019 – 2022.

Rosario is a LAC Women Empower Program 2022- 2023 of the Ban Ki Moon Center alumni, Young Global Changer 2022 for the Global Solution the World Policy Forum and Women Champion 2015 – 2016 for UN Women for the “Empower Women” Global Movement for Women Economic Empowerment. Her work has been recognized by the Vice Presidency of Peru, the Regional Coordinator of the UN System in Peru, The United Nations Millennium Campaign, AIESEC International with the Leader for Peace Award.

Contimi Kenfack Mouafo
Cameroon/Germany | Young Global Changer 2022
– YGC AMBASSADOR FOR AFRICA – 

Contimi Kenfack Mouafo is a Pan-African and sustainability enthusiast on a mission to enable Africa to achieve its potential and at the same time, have a global impact in the fight against climate change. With a background in electrical engineering, he has many years of experience in the renewable energy sector. He is passionate about changing the narrative about his home continent and believes showcasing the ingenuity of young Africans as they develop innovative concepts to address climate change which is the biggest crisis the world faces today is the best way to do so. For this reason he founded 3 E’s 4 Africa which is a non-profit which empowers African students on the continent to create innovative solutions to local challenges which arise due to climate change. As a young leader tackling climate change, Contimi has been selected as a top 40 African German Young Leader 2022 by “Germany – Land of Ideas” and the German Agency of Business and Economic Development. He was also named “Student of the Year 2024” by the German University Association and the German Student Union making him the very first African Student in Germany to get the award.

Alexandra Kodjabachi

Alexandra is the Founder of PersEd, a learning experience design consultancy empowering individuals and organisations through leadership and collective intelligence programmes. Her 140+ collaborations with organisations and individuals from 45+ countries impacted the lives of thousands around the world, including social innovators, SDG entrepreneurs, refugees, peacemakers, and climate activists. Alexandra is also an international public speaker, consultant, and facilitator. Her multidisciplinary pursuits, including a B.A. in Political Science (USJ Beirut and Sciences Po Aix-En-Provence) and an M.Sc. in Educational Neuroscience (UCL and Birkbeck, London), as well as recognitions in leadership, entrepreneurship, literature and the arts, led her to weave disciplines in the service of learning, innovation, and social impact. A change-maker at the core, she has been recognized as MENA Leadership Academy fellow (2016-2017), G20 Young Global Changer (2017 & 2021), Unleash Global Talent (2018), UNESCO APCEIU Youth Leader (2019) and a Peter Drucker Challenge Laureate (top 15) (2023).

Eden Tadesse
Ethiopia| Young Global Changer 2023
– YGC AMBASSADOR FOR AFRICA- 

Eden Tadesse is an award-winning entrepreneur, digital innovator, journalist and global citizen. She draws on more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit and private sector across three continents (Africa, Asia and Europe). She is the Founder of Invicta, an award-winning career development platform that connects refugees and internally displaced people with remote work, online courses, mental health support and business development. Invicta currently supports 31,000+ refugees from 87 countries. Eden is passionate about leveraging innovation, sustainability and diversity to create bold and resilient solutions. In her spare time, she enjoys debating politics, learning German, travelling extensively and interviewing guests for her climate podcast. Her professional experience spans across policy, gender equality, social innovation, education, economic development, human rights and program management. She is a recipient of the prestigious Diana Award, a Young Champion for UNHCR, and an African Union Youth Innovator. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) from India.

Sinan Genc

– YGC AMBASSADOR FOR THE MIDDLE EAST – 

Sinan Genc, is a Research Assistant in Electrical Electronics Engineering at Abdullah Gül University. His PhD research focuses on sensors for environmental applications. Since 2017, he has been attending international events to learn and share today’s applications with his students for a sustainable future. As a young global changer, he aims to create an international network on circular economy, CEMENA-Net, for all stakeholders to achieve sustainable development goals.

Gopal Kumar Mohoto
Bangladesh| Young Global Changer 2022
– YGC AMBASSADOR FOR ASIA – 

Gopal Kumar Mohoto is an engineer, entrepreneur and researcher on renewable energy. He is Co-founder and Team Leader of CASSETEX; also Research Director of Advanced Dynamics PTE. LTD. Through research and systems thinking he brings sustainable and innovative solutions for the future of energy and mobility forward. He has been creating energy solutions with just energy transition; through this he is focused on transforming the energy sector away from grid dependence to off-grid, micro-energy and community based distributed energy. With specialism in energy policy, renewable energy, energy storage and electric vehicles Gopal is working to transform to a zero-carbon future through systems innovation, enhancing climate technology adoption, women entrepreneurship and youth capacity building. As a climate activist, he is alumni Climate Ambassador at World Bank Group – GYCN. His recent involvement in environmental processes includes climate action, energy policy advocacy and youth capacity building at United Nations COP26.
